The scarab beetle was a symbol of self-creation to the ancient Egyptians. Worshipped as the god ‘Khepri” (‘he who came forth from the earth’), it was believed the scarab rolled the sun across the sky. These silver earrings are inlaid with lapis/black onyx. This pendant is double-sided with identical sides.
