The scarab beetle was a symbol of self-creation to the ancient Egyptians. Worshipped as the god ‘Khepri" (‘he who came forth from the earth’), it was believed the scarab rolled the sun across the sky. Lapis Lazuli was a sacred stone to the Egyptians.
